Complete Your Period of Adaptation in Order to Work as a Physiotherapist in Ireland

The Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP) is the national, professional body representing over 3,000 Chartered Physiotherapists in Ireland.

In order to work legally as a physiotherapist in Ireland you need to be registered with ISCP.

Some physiotherapists who graduated outside Ireland have to go through so called “period of adaptation”.

If ISCP assessor identifies some gaps or shortfall in candidate’s application, a period of adaptation would be required in Ireland.

Adaption for physiotherapists in Ireland ISCP is an intense period in which a physiotherapists undertakes their training and practical sessions under the supervision of a qualified professional (ISCP Registered Physiotherapist). During this period of adaption for physiotherapists for ISCP, the candidates may be required to complete practical sessions in MSK, Neurology and Respiratory.
